Theatre Studies: Our research strengths

Theatre Studies staff are leading researchers with international profiles in the theory and practice of performance. Our focus is creative, critical and performative and our activities include leading edge professional practice, scholarly publications, symposia and conferences.

Our commitment to excellence in research is evidenced by: the wide range of research projects currently being undertaken by staff, fellows, and postgraduates; its commitment to postgraduate research and supervision; its extensive publication record; and its research facilities.

Staff demonstrate expertise in a range of research fields and the published work of our researchers reflects the School's research strengths.

Recently completed theses as well as the current research undertaken by postgraduates evidence the strength of the School's postgraduates as well as the staff's commitment to its postgraduates' success. The journals published by the School and/or its affiliates also provide evidence of the research undertaken by staff and postgraduates.

Finally the School endeavors to maintain and develop new, exceptional research facilities to ensure continued research excellence.
