Postgraduate Certificate in Arts (Editing and Communications)

50 points; one semester full-time or two semesters part-time.

Acts as an introduction to publishing studies, and may also qualify students for admission to the Postgraduate Diploma or Master of Arts.

Postgraduate Diploma in Arts (Editing and Communications)

100 points; two semesters full-time or four semesters part-time.

Combines hands-on instruction in editing and publishing with industry analysis and opportunities for industry-based internships.

Master of Publishing and Communications D12AA

The Master of Publishing and Communications is designed to combine wide-ranging instruction and practical experience in editing and publishing with penetrating analysis of the culture and commerce of the global publishing and communications industries. The course is suitable for graduates seeking careers in publishing and communications, as well as for those already employed in these fields who wish to consolidate their skills and deepen their understanding of the industry.

Master of Creative Writing, Publishing and Editing

200 points; four semesters - two year program. Students must successfully complete the first year of the program (100 points) before commencement of the 2nd year of study (additional 100 points).

Designed to provide students with a vocational qualification where students take creative writing subjects as part of their professional development. The degree demonstrates the links and shared skills between writer, editor and publisher as well as between fiction and non-fiction writing.

Master of Arts (Editing and Communications) (FINAL INTAKE WAS 2007)

200 points; four semesters full-time (with provision for accelerated studies for graduates with prior industry experience).

Extends students' practical skills and industry experience in a range of print and digital media, and provides opportunities for cutting-edge analysis of the global publishing and communications industries, including a thesis option for those wishing to pursue research in publishing studies.

Master of Arts (Publishing and Editing) (FINAL INTAKE WAS 2007)

100 points of subjects at Level 5; two semesters full-time or four semesters part-time.

Intended for honours graduates with industry experience, this course provides intensive instruction in advanced publishing and editing for print and digital media, along with analysis of the global culture and commerce of publishing.
