Changes in Publishing Master's course structure from 2008

From 2008, the structure of our Master's courses is being streamlined and some anomalies are being ironed out. The details of the new system are spelt out under the individual courses, but here are the main changes:

The MA (Editing and Communications) and the MA (Publishing and Editing) will now form strands in a single Master of Publishing and Communications.

The prerequisites for the accelerated Master's program have been changed so that applicants can claim 50 points credit for a cognate honours degree and/or 50 points credit for industry experience. Applicants with both a cognate honours degree and industry experience are eligible for the 100-point program, and those with only one of the above are eligible for the 150-point program. Students enrolled in the 100-point program may do any core level 4 subjects with permission of the program co-ordinator.

Please contact Jenny Lee, jenny.lee@unimelb.edu.au, or Jessica Rose, jro@unimelb.edu.au, if you have any questions regarding these changes.
