Faculty of Arts School of Culture & Communication

Welcome

The School of Culture and Communication has a thriving postgraduate community with around 370 local and international students currently enrolled in its Masters by Research and Doctor of Philosophy degrees. It offers supervision in a wide range of fields in English and Theatre Studies, Creative Writing, Art History, Cinema and Cultural Studies, Australian Indigenous Studies and Media and Communications, while also teaching postgraduate courses in Publishing and Communications, Art Curatorship, Arts Management and Cinema Management.

Postgraduate students play key roles in the intellectual life of the School, editing and writing for a range of postgraduate journals, representing the postgraduate community on School committees, taking part in reading groups and seminar series, organising conferences, tutoring and so on.

The dynamism of this group can be glimpsed in Public Works, published annually by the School of Culture and Communication, which lists theses completed, works published, papers delivered, and creative works produced and performed by members of the postgraduate community.
