Arts Management Internship
The Arts Management internship program allows students the opportunity to experience work in a diverse range of arts sector organisations. It is a chance to contribute and conduct practical research whilst reflecting critically on this experience. When framed within the context of the course, it allows for students to explore avenues of interest which may eventually progress their career. In observing and participating in a professional environment, students gain a unique insight into the regular practices of arts managers and highlight some of the more pragmatic aspects of the aesthetic contract.Arts Management internship students have been placed in major theatre companies, dance companies, orchestras, festivals and galleries, have had experiences in the commercial and non profit sectors of the industry and have participated in research and policy projects in government departments and professional bodies. Students are also encouraged to pursue international placements.
