Please note: all dates are calculated for full-time candidature (double them for part-time candidature)
| 6 months | Progress Report 1 (note in this report if you would like to convert to a PhD) |
| 9 months | If you want to convert to a PhD, discuss this with your supervisor & your Discipline Research Coordinator |
| 11 months | Submit conversion application |
| 12 months | Progress Report 2 & Review by Circulation (superseded by conversion documents if you are converting) |
| 18 months | Apply for extension if additional candidature is required to complete thesis |
| 2 months before you submit | Complete Intention to Submit form (with 80-word summary) |
| 18 months (or equivalent with extension periods added) | Submit 3 thermal-bound copies of your thesis to Arts Faculty Office |
| When Examiners' Reports are sent to you | Make any requested amendments & submit 2 permanent-bound copies (one on acid-free paper) to the Faculty of Arts Research and Postgraduate Studies office |
