Please note: all dates are calculated for full-time candidature (double them for part-time candidature)

6 months Progress Report 1
(note in this report if you would like to convert to a PhD)
9 months If you want to convert to a PhD, discuss this with your supervisor & your Discipline Research Coordinator
11 months Submit conversion application
12 months Progress Report 2 & Review by Circulation (superseded by conversion documents if you are converting)
18 months Apply for extension if additional candidature is required to complete thesis
2 months before you submit Complete Intention to Submit form (with 80-word summary)
18 months (or equivalent with extension periods added) Submit 3 thermal-bound copies of your thesis to Arts Faculty Office
When Examiners' Reports are sent to you Make any requested amendments & submit 2 permanent-bound copies (one on acid-free paper) to the Faculty of Arts Research and Postgraduate Studies office
GRADUATE!
